Center Left Turn Lanes
A center left turn lane is located in the middle of a two-way street. It is marked on both sides by two painted lines. The inner line is broken, and the outer line is solid. Use the center left turn lane to prepare for and make a left turn or U-turn. It is not a regular traffic lane.
To turn left from this lane:
- Look for other vehicles coming toward you in the center left turn lane
- Signal
- Look over your shoulder to check your blind spots
- Merge completely into the center left turn lane so you do not block traffic
- Turn when it is safe

Guam Construction Update for the week of November 17 - 23, 2025
Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed flaggers (when present). Alternate routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
Islandwide Primary Roads Paving and Pavement Markings TO-4 Route 10
Construction activities will continue along Route 10, between the Route 4 intersection and Route 15 extending up to American Medical Center, Mangilao from November 17 to November 23, 2025. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays, slow down and comply with posted speed lim-its when traveling through the work zone. Please remain alert for uneven pavement surfaces and temporary steel plates and drive safely at all times.
Islandwide Primary Roads Paving and Pavement Markings TO-3 Route 30A (Tentative)
Construction activities will continue along Route 30A, between the Pay-Less Oka and St. Antho-ny Church, Tamuning, from November 17 to November 22, 2025. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Sat, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
No construction activities are scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Construction activities will continue along Route 32, between Route 10 /Route 32 intersection and Campus Drive from November 17 to November 22, 2025. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Sat, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
No construction activities are scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Construction activities will continue along Route 8, from Route8/7A intersection to Benson, Bar-rigada, from November 17 to November 22, 2025. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Sat, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
No construction activities are scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Islandwide Primary Roads Paving and Pavement Markings TO-3 Route 2A
Construction activities will continue along Route 2A, Santa Rita, from November 17 to Novem-ber 22, 2025. Intermittent lane closures in both directions are expected during work hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Sat, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
No construction activities are scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025.
Route 4 Replacement of Ylig Bridge (Phase 2) – Ylig Memorial
General construction activities will continue for the Ylig Memorial Project. These activities will not affect the flow of traffic.
The contractor, Korando Corporation, will be working from 7:00 AM till 4:00 PM on weekdays only. No construction activities are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays.
Route 4 Paving from Belen Avenue to the Tinago River Bridge
Paving activities will begin along Route 4 starting from Belen Avenue, working north towards the Tinago River Bridge. Work will occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday – Friday. The DPW asks motorists to please proceed with caution and remain alert for traffic control signs and work crews.
DPW HMC Bush/Side Cutting
The DPW HMC crew will be bush/side cutting the following locations, weather permitting:
- Route 2 starting at Route 12 (Hågat), working southbound towards Humåtak
- Route 1 (Marine Corps Drive) from Dead Man’s Curve (Maina) to Chief Quipuha Park (Hagåtña)
- Route 7 from Route 6 (Maina) to Tutuhan Park (Hagåtña)
Work will occur between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday - Friday. The DPW asks motorists to please proceed with caution and remain alert for traffic control signs and work crews.
Islandwide Grass Cutting Maintenance Project
The DPW contractor will be grass cutting at the following locations between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting:
- Monday, 11/17/25 – Tuesday, 11/18/25: Route 16 & Route 8
- Wednesday, 11/19/25: Route 10
- Thursday, 11/20/25 – Friday 11/21/25: Route 6 & Route 7
- Thursday, 11/20/25 – Wednesday 11/26/25: Route 1 (Marine Corps Drive)
