Sun Glare

To help manage sun glare:

• Keep the inside and outside of your windshield clean.

• Wear polarized sunglasses.

• Maintain enough space between your vehicle and the vehicles around you.

• Make sure your car visor works and is free of anything that would restrict use.

• Be aware of pedestrians. You may have difficulty seeing them.

• Try to avoid driving during sunrise and sunset.

Guam Construction Update for the week of July 22 - 28, 2024

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed flaggers (when present). Alternate routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.

Route 14B (Ypao Road) Reconstruction and Widening (Route 14 to Carmen Memorial Dr.), Phase 1 Cliffside – Tamuning

From Monday, 7/22/24 to Saturday, 7/27/24 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, motorists are advised that the contractor will continue shoulder work along Route 14B and on the sidewalk. During this time, expect minimal lane shifts and intermittent lane closures.

Route 14 Resurfacing from Route 1 to Route 14B – Tamuning

From Monday, 7/22/24 to Saturday, 7/27/24 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, motorists are advised that the contractor will continue shoulder work along Route 14 (Chalan San Antonio). During this time, expect minimal lane shifts and intermittent lane closures.

Islandwide Grass Cutting Maintenance Project

The DPW contractor will be grass cutting at the following locations, weather permitting:

• Monday, 7/22/24: Route 10

• Tuesday, 7/23/24 – Thursday, 7/25/24: Route 15

• Friday, 7/26/24 – Saturday, 7/27/24: Route 6 and Route 7

• Sunday, 7/28/24: Route 1 from Hagåtña to AAFB

Work will occur between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures. The DPW asks motorists to please proceed with caution and remain alert for traffic control signs and work crews.

Islandwide Village Streets Paving – Chalan Koda, Dededo/Yigo

The DPW HMC Crew will continue preparing portions of Chalan Koda for paving. Work will occur between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The DPW asks motorists to please proceed with caution and remain alert for traffic control signs and work crews.
