Traffic Advisory for the Week of January 21-27

Route 3 Widening

Construction activities are ongoing along Route 3 from just north of Route 28 to just south of Potts Junction. Motorists can expect lane closures and flagger controlled traffic.
 

Route 1/3 Intersection Improvements (Dededo)

Construction activities are ongoing at the Route 1/ Route 3 intersection. Motorists are advised that the Route 1 northbound right lane west of the intersection will be closed starting from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Two through lanes will be provided. Motorists continuing northbound on Route 1 are advised to merge to the open lanes as directed by traffic signs.
 

Route 1 and Route 8 Resurfacing

On Monday, January 21, 2019, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will be installing pavement markers along the northbound lanes on Route 1 – Asan/Piti (from Cabras Power Plant to Asan Bridge) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists travelling north on Route 1 (Asan-Piti) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

From Monday, January 21, 2019 to Tuesday, January 22, 2019, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, has scheduled milling and paving along southbound lanes on Route 1 – Asan/Piti (from Day Buy Day Market to Cabras Power Plant and from Church of Christ to Asan Bridge) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists traveling south on Route 1 (Asan/Piti) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

From Tuesday, January 22, 2019 to Friday, January 25, 2019, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will be installing pavement markers along the southbound lanes on Route 1 – Asan/Piti (from Asan Bridge to Cabras Power Plant) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists travelling south on Route 1 (Asan–Piti) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.

From Monday, January 21, 2019 to Friday, January 25, 2019, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will begin construction activities along the northbound and southbound shoulder of Route 8 corner Canada-Toto Loop Intersection. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs.
 

Route 30 to Sheraton Hotel Entrance (Fahrenholt Ave) – Tamuning

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew has scheduled pavement marking starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays during these times due to intermittent lane closures and shifts.
 

South Paulino Heights – Ipan/Talofofo

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew will continue preparing the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays.
 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through all construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed to flaggers. Alternative routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
