Traffic Advisory for the Week of January 14-20

Route 3 Widening

Construction activities are ongoing along Route 3 from just north of Route 28 to just south of Potts Junction. Motorists can expect lane closures and flagger controlled traffic.
 

Route 1/3 Intersection Improvements (Dededo)

Construction activities are ongoing at the Route 1/ Route 3 intersection. Motorists are advised that the Route 1 northbound right lane west of the intersection will be closed starting from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Two through lanes will be provided. Motorists continuing northbound on Route 1 are advised to merge to the open lanes as directed by traffic signs.
 

Route 1 and Route 8 Resurfacing

The DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, will be installing pavement markers along the northbound lanes on Route 1 –Piti/Asan (from Cabras Power Plant to Asan River) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts. Motorists travelling north on Route 1 (Piti-Asan) are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.
 

Route 30 to Sheraton Hotel Entrance (Fahrenholt Ave) – Tamuning

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019 and Thursday, January 17, 2019, the DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Product, will be paving between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be lane closure and lane shifts. Motorists traveling through the construction areas are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect longer delays. Alternative routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
 

South Paulino Heights – Ipan/Talofofo

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew will continue preparing the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays.
 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through all construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed to flaggers. Alternative routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
