Traffic Advisory for the Week of December 31 - January 6

Route 3 Widening

Construction activities are ongoing along Route 3 from just north of Route 28 to just south of Potts Junction. Motorists can expect lane closures and flagger controlled traffic.
 

Route 1/3 Intersection Improvements (Dededo)

Construction activities are ongoing at the Route 1/ Route 3 intersection. Motorists are advised of the following:

  • Intermittent lane closure on Route 1 northbound right lane west of the intersection from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Intermittent lane closure on Route 1 southbound inner lane from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Motorists are advised to merge to the open lanes as directed by traffic signs.
 

Route 1 and Route 8 Resurfacing

The DPW contractor, Hawaiian Rock Products, has scheduled milling and paving along the following areas:

  • Southbound lanes on Route 1 - Asan/Piti (from New Asan Beach Market to Day Buy Day Store) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts.
  • Northbound lanes on Route 1 – Asan/Piti (from Cabras Power Plant to Fish Eye Marine Park) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There will be intermittent lane closures and shifts.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution, merge to the open lanes as directed by signs and flaggers, and to expect delays.
 

Dongat Lane – Chalan Pago

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew has tentatively scheduled pavement marking starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays during these times due to intermittent lane closures and shifts.
 

Route 30 to Sheraton Hotel Entrance (Fahrenholt Ave) – Tamuning

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew will start preparing the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays.
 

South Paulino Heights – Ipan/Talofofo

The Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Maintenance crew will start preparing the road bed for hot mix asphalt paving starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution through the construction areas and to expect delays.
 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through all construction zones, observe all posted speed limit and construction signs, and carefully heed to flaggers. Alternative routes and/or adjusting drive times when feasible are encouraged.
